Midlands has developed a proprietary assembly to improve the cooling efficiencies of cooling drums used for calendared plastics or rubber sheets. As compared to the traditional 3-pass cooling drum, the Midlands assembly is approximately 90% more efficient. The improvement is achieved by providing a spiral path for cooling water that is close to the plastic or rubber sheet. The proprietary design and manufacturing procedure can also be produced economically providing the user with a highly efficient system at an economical cost.
